What does your doctor say? That seems like an awful lot to me (I'm rather envious) but then you did start off with a BMI higher than mine.

hi there! :) congrats on your recent surgery! wow thats alot to lose so fast. everyone is different and everything plays a factor. your bmi is high and you are male. the higher bmi and males tend to lose faster also. it will come off probably very fast for you at first but its then pretty common to slow down.you could talk to doc and see what he thinks but as long as you are feeling ok and you are able to get food in id say you are ok. congrats once again! :)

Congratulations. I have learned that were you have more to lose the faster it comes off. Your BMI was 85.3 so I igure you had a lot to lose. You also did not say what you have been eating or if yu were ill or had complications. What does your surgeon say of your weight loss. Good luck and follow your doctors instructions. Take Care

David... don't worry... it seems to be the higher the bmi the faster the weight comes off. Stick to you protien, water, etc. diet, and melt away!!! Congratulations!!! My husband lost 50 lbs the first two weeks and I lost 75 lbs in my first six weeks. Everyone is different... enjoy the loss, and don't mourn the missing! :~)

If you started out super-obese, it sure is. I started at 407 lbs. and lost 60 lbs. in 6 weeks. This seemed fast compared to some of my "lightweight" friends who also had surgery.
