Ideal Weight Issue

I was denied surgery because I don't double my ideal weight. How can I appeal this issue and win? Can anyone help I', 5'2' 221 lbs. BMI 40.    — XXX X. (posted on September 24, 2002)

Hope this will help. I am 5'3 and weigh 224lbs. If I weigh a pound less than that at the hospital Blue Cross says they will not pay for the surgery. The first time I submitted for approval I weighed 220 and they would not precertify me. After an appeal and submitting the new weight the precertified me.
