Question:
Finding a doctor in Columbus, Ohio who can do surgery now --- already approved

Does anyone know of a doctor in Columbus, Ohio who cold do the bypass surgery now, not in a month or 2, but now? Friend is insurance approved but needs to have it done NOW due to work schedule. Already know that OSU and Drs. Custer and Price can't. Thanks!    — Nell C. (posted on July 25, 2002)

Have you tried the Bariatric Treatment Center in Grove City OH? I went there for a consult with a surgeon and absolutely LOVED the place. I'm not sure how fast they can get you scheduled but there are several surgeons there and they have their own hospital. Unfortunately, I don't think my insurance is going to cover my surgery there. You might be luckier. Good luck and God bless!

Isn't it funny that in the capital city of Columbus that there are only 3 places to have this surgery: Bariatric Treatment Center, OSU and Drs. Price and Custer (Mid-Ohio Surgical). That's weird...........

I got approved for surgery at the bariatric treatment center last november and my surgery wasn't schduled until feb of this year but I didn't have surgery until june (medical reasons) And one of the surgeons is leaving so you probably won't be able to go there and get a appt quickly.
