Question:
Has anyone (light weight) stopped loosing weight @ 6months and then
continued to loose during the next 6 months? I've been stuck for 2 months, nothing moving on the scales. I'm wondering if this is a L O N G plateau? or am I done? — Cindee A. (posted on July 19, 2002)

I did the same thing. I worked out more and did more cardio, but still
nothing. I did notice a change in my clothing, but the scale wouldn't move.
About the 10th month it picked up. I am one year post op and right at 100
pounds lost. Wish it was more, but no diet could have me living the way I
do now. I am happy. Good Luck.

I also had a long plateau at 6 months. It lasted 6 weeks and I thought
that I was done! I had never seen where anyone had mentioned such a long
plateau. I started tracking my cals on fitday.com at that point, and
realized that I could not lose at 1200 cals a day. As soon as I dropped my
caloric intake back to 800, I started losing again. I'm guessing that at
about 6 months our intake increases and my body just did not like that.
Oh, and I'm also a LW, so I did consider that maybe that was the reason I
stopped losing. I am 8 months p/o and have lost 10 lbs. since that time.
I hope that you can figure out what you need to do to get it going again.
