After going thru appeals, 3 of them and been denied I am appealing to the
state to see what happens. I wish I had hired Walter Lindstrom the first
time I was denied, ii I only would have known then all I know now I would
not have taken on the insurance company on my own. Good luck!

You need to document all of the diets you have tried and all of the health
problems you have such as high blood pressure, sleep apnea, Acid Reflux,
Joint problems, Diabetes, cholesterol, etc. If that doesn't work, then I
would recommend hiring Walter Lindstrom at obesitylaw.com. I was denied by
insurance even though I had BMI of 63 and 6 of the 7 comorbidities that the
NIH says qualifies as medically necessary. Fight your insurance and ask
them for more specific information or criteria that was the basis of your
denial.
