Question:
Is there a web site that lists how many, if any, patients have died
under a certain Doctors care? — Dawn E. (posted on June 7, 2002)

I have been wondering about the same thing. All I know of at this time is
to ask the doctor.

I wondered the same thing as well before my surgery. I just asked my
surgeon. he luckily had no deaths, but i think by law they have to tell
you that information if you ask, i may be wrong, but i think they do.
goodluck!

Having any surgery is putting your life in a doctor's hands. You certainly
have the right to ask (and expect an answer without prejudice) how many of
the type of surgery you are having that he has done, and also if he has had
any deaths. Hugs, Joy

My doctor has seminars twice a month and when I attended my first one, the
question was asked - point blank. I could tell by his answer that the
situation saddened him but he was very upfront with the 1 death that had
occurred while being his patient. Sad, sad deal but I do believe, without
a shadow of a doubt, if you ask - you'll receive the answer.
