Question:
who out there shares these concerns with me?

I have my first consult this coming Monday. I have Hepatitis C, Cirrhosis of the liver, fibromyalgia and a few other health issues. I am curious who out there with liver issues, has or having this surgery and what the results have been? Any suggestions for questions? I wish everyone much success and much happiness. Hi Cindy ~ Lisa Jordan here. I am almost 7 weeks out from surgery and I too have Hepatitis C - when I went to do the liver scan, it showed an enlarged liver and this concerned me in a big way due to the upcoming surgery. I too had other health issues but I think that's pretty normal with obesity at any level. My doctor went through with the surgery knowing all medical conditions I was having and it was a success. It wasn't a piece of cake or without pain as I hear a lot of people go through but it was worth it. At 6-weeks I'm down 46 lbs. and starting to feel better with each passing day. I'm going to take another liver scan next year to see what changes have occurred, if any. When my doctor was doing my lap. RNY, he also did a biopsy of my liver and for now, it all looks pretty good. Hi Cindy: I also had Hep C infact failed the interferon alone and did the combo when still in trail study. Have you done any treatment? Well anyway I did tell the doc right off had hep c but have been negative last 2 years and I had my surgery Dec 5 down 75 pounds feel great and alot of the left over sides from treatment now gone. Just let your surgon know about the hep and talk with your gastrologist all should be fine. GREAT LUCK to you.
