Question:
I live close to Canada, my insurance won't cover this surgery
I would like implants and a lift, does anyone know if it would be cheaper to go to Canada I have relatives in Toronto. If you have any names of surgeons in that area I would love your input on them. — Lauratc (posted on May 23, 2002)

Hi Laura, I live in Canada and as far as I know you must be a resident to
have the costs covered. I know that our health coverage covers a tummy tuck
and a breast procedure when the time comes. As for if it is cheaper I have
no idea as we are very spoiled in this country and do not have to pay for a
lot of our surgery the health coverage does. I count myself very lucky
everday that I live here and did not have to go through any of the problems
the other members did with denials etc. I wish you a lot of luck, I would
definitely ask your relatives to look into it for you and if you do come
here, know that you will have the best care possible. I am having my
initial surgery in Toronto on July 15/02 and I am beside myself with
anticipation. Good luck and congrats on your success.
