Question:
HOW DO YOU STOP LOSING WEIGHT WHEN YOU ARE AT GOAL?
ok, I'm lucky so far.. eat almost anything and loosing. I have about 40 more #'s to go, I want to weigh 120. how can i stop losing when I get there? I do not want to drop to 100# or less. I am 4'11". — Cindee A. (posted on May 12, 2002)

From what I understand, if you do get to goal, just add a few hundred
calories to your daily menu and that should balance you out. I've also
heard that your body goes to a comfortable weight and pretty much remains
there. I have only heard of a few that went below what they wanted and had
problems gaining weight...Congrats on getting so close to goal. I'm 1/2
way to goal and looking forward to getting all the way there!

As I got closer & closer to my goal weight, the weight loss just slowed
down a little more each week. By the time I got to within 15 pounds it had
pretty much stopped. I didn't really do anything differently; I think my
body just reached some equilibrium. I now eat largely anything I want &
my weight varies around 7 or 8 pounds, but has stayed stable for about a
year. In my support group of maybe 40 or even more people, I only can think
of one person who had to try to put back on some weight.

Would love to get more feedback on this question. My goal was 145-150 and
at 5'7" that was a good weight. I now weigh 119 and am wayyy too
thin. I have been trying for a year to gain weight to no avail. If I drop
anymore, I'm going to discuss opening my hole up a little.
