Question:
When Can I safely go back to work?

You had lap. Some people would say they were ready after two weeks, I was definitely ready after three but took a month since I had the time available. Do what feels right for you. I have a really physical job, so I waited and....enjoyed the time. Good luck on your journey.

I have a somewhat physical job and returned to work 13 days after open RNY. It was kind of tough for the first couple of weeks but I managed. I'd say 2-3 weeks if your work is sedentary would be a safe bet. Best of Luck!

I could have gone back after 11 days but waited 2 weeks. I was tired but had no problems as I have a desk job. Hope this helps.

I waited 7 weeks to go back. I had to go on a crowded train and walk several blocks from the train to my office, in the summer! I took my time coming back and glad I did.
