Hi Iris. <p> I also live on Long Island, but am not aware of any private support groups. My surgeon hosts one for his patients; have you asked Dr. Herron if he knows of any? <p> Good Luck, and please let me know if you decide to start one!

Dr. Cooperstone has one every first Wednesday of the month at North Shore University Hospital in Syosset. Several attendees are not his patients. The next meeting is the second Wednesday (Scheduling conflict) in May. 6-8PM.
