Question:
I am 3 weeks post op and cant hold anything down other than water,popsickles,jello et

Hi Kathy. I'm real sorry you're having problems. It sounds like you may have a stricture. Only a doctor can make that determination. If it is a stricture, it won't get better on it's own, you'll need to be scoped to open it up and allow you to eat. Call your surgeon and let him know about your problem. Hope you're feeling better soon.

hi,, a lot of this i guess depends on your dr, exactly what you named is all that my dr, allowed me to have for the first 6 weeks and i got so tired of it, getting blocked on a pureed diet would be hard, i got blocked once at 4 months out.. i didn't chew vegetable soup good enough. my dr said to drink some club soda, wait two hours and if the plug didn't move go to the e.r. in an hour the plug moved, i could feel it move then i was o.k. hang in there,, it does get better..
