Question:
I am 79 days post op, and only down 43lbs. This seems like such a small amount.
I have read many other posts, and I feel like I should be at least 20lbs. less than where I am at. I get in my water, protein, etc. I just haven't started exercising much. Could that be holding me back? I'm sorry, but I HATE EXERCISING!!! I mean really...If I liked it...I probably would be where I am today. I have been at this same weight (265) since before Christmas. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks — Lisa B. (posted on January 9, 2002)

hi,
i think this is great weight lost, its about 20 PLUS pounds a month, thats
huge!!! IT TOOK YOU MORE THAN 2 MONTHS TO GAIN THE WEIGHT, AND IT JUST
WILL NOT FALL OFF OVERNIGHT,,, I THINK YOU ARE DOING JUST GREAT,,, WE MUST
REMEMBER THAT it took YEARS to ACCUMULATe THIS WEIGHT, and if you lose 20
pounds a month you are doing better than most... keep up the exercise, eat
as you are told, don't stretch your pouch....and a year from now you will
be picking out a bikini to show off your lovely new figure... i lost 150
pounds, down to 150 with 30 more to go... please don't stress yourself, or
compare your wt. loss to others,it will come off if you eat only what your
doctor advises you to eat... viola canton

I am down the same amount as you in the same time frame. This weight loss
is not as slow as you think. We all just tend to notice the people who lose
50 pounds in 20 days.
