Sounds like you have a RNY. You should ask your surgeon. He really should have a on call staff to nswer questions like this. Do attend support group meetings, they help a lot adjusting to you new healthier life.

I agree with Bob. If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times and I owe my life to this moto: There should be NOTHING you cant ask your surgeon and if your surgeon is no accessible in emergency and no emergency situations, you've picked the wrong surgeon. If I had posted my situation about my pain asking "what is this or is this normal?" and waited for replies I'd might be dead now. I asked on instint and called my surgeon's emergency number and told the woman who answered how I was feeling and she contacted my surgeon who called back 5 mintues latere and spoke with me and told me to immedicately come into the hospital. It turned out I had developed Pulminary Embolism (multiple blood clots to my lungs). That being said, I know your situation isnt an emergency but more of an curious nature but my moto is still the same: Ask him, he should have someone that can take your name and number so he can call you back.
