HI!!! i just found out 3 days ago that my srgry will be nov 29th

i'm excited and scared, and wonder how i can get an angel....is there something i need to do or somewhere i need to sign up?......thanks so much for any help!!!!    — summer K. (posted on November 16, 2001)

Hi Summer, Not sure what all goes into being an angel but I guess I will follow the protocol that my angel is giving me. I cannot help you with answers regarding the surgery as you are going before me. But I will be happy to keep the board updated about your status. If you like, I will be glad to visit you at the BTC (I still have friends in Ypsi). Let me know.

Hi Summer, Congrats on getting a surgery date. I know that you are scared and nervous. My surgery was in July of 2001. But let me tell you, I feel awesome. I had my done in Toledo, Ohio by the greatest surgeon ever, Dr. Mark Kligman. He does all of his patients Laproscopically if he can help it. Since he has done this procedure he only had to open one patient up. The recovery time is so much quicker. But that is not what you were asking about. You want a ANGEL. Just go into the CHAT part of Obesity Help and ask the roomies there, or the girl that responded first offered. Good luck to you as your journey begins. It will be rewarding in the end....just think, you get to enjoy your last BIG meal this Thanksgiving. Get in all your FAVORITE foods too, it will be awhile until you are able to eat foods again.

probably you just ask someone. My friend Judy and i are being angels for each other. But since her surgery date is before mine, and she might not feel well, i asked my daughter to be my angel too. She can use my computer and go in and post how im doing...Also I think if you go to the message board and ask if someone would like to be your angel..they will email you...i hope more of the pros will let you know for sure!!! good luck

Hi. I just had my surgery on November 16th. Talk about going through changes. It helps a great deal to have someone there for you. Where are you located? I am in Maryland. If you are near me, I'd be happy to check on you. At least by phone, depending on how I am getting around. The least I could do is call and check up on you. Let me know what you think.
