Which doctor says it is not your heart? Have you had cardiac tests? Is it
your WLS surgeon who is telling you it's "not heart" or a
cardiologist who has examined you? Please don't mess around with this.
Pain is natures way of WARNING us that something is not right. Please
INSIST that it be checked out if you haven't had a full work up already.

Cindy, I agree with Beth. It is absolutely unnatural to have pain in your
chest. And when you have chest pain that radiates to other parts of the
body. i.e arm, neck or jaw could indicate that it is possibly cardiac
related. I have a lot of faith in my surgeon but when he tells me he does
not know which cough medicine to prescribe then he can only talk to me
about bariatric. I was just in the hospital this past Thursday and was
kept overnight by the Cardiologist, not by the medical doctor or my
bariatric surgery. I went in with chest pain which I thought was something
I was going to blow off until I spoke with one of the doctors. I ended up
getting nitroglycerin and an IV and when the pain diminished somewhat I was
started on a nitro drip and a heparin drip. I also had a echocardiogram.
Now I am off duty because I have to have a stress test. I was released
from the hospital with Nitrobid and have to take an aspirin a day. I
suggest you seek a doctor that can help you with that chest pain.

Also, Cindy they monitor your heart with bloodwork, by checking your
cardiac enzymes and EKG.
