A doctor in Northern California doing the DS LAP

Does anybody have an idea for a Doctor in Nothern California other than Dr Rabkin doing the LAP DS? I unfortunately can't connect with this DOctor and I'm looking for another    — Diane B. (posted on September 13, 2001)

I don't know of any that do lap ds but my doctor does lap rny he is Dr. Wetter, he is a specialist in lap, you should at least consult with him.

For a listing of all the DS surgeons go to duodenalswitch.com and you will be able to research the best information available about the DS. Also there is a listing of all of the doctors who offer the DS lap. If having the DS is your priority, then you have to go to that website. If having a laparoscopic operation is more important to you , then there are many, many surgeons who offer the RNY in that approach and you can read about them en masse here on this site. Good luck to you and remember that no research into Weight Loss Surgery is complete until you have gone to duodenalswitch.com. Have all the information so that you cab trully make an informed decision, and even then, insurance may be the determining factor. Good luck.

Dr. Keshishian, in Delano, has started doing the DS lap. He is a few hours away from San Francisco, but well worth the travel time. I live in Santa Rosa (just north of SF)and had my surgery with him in June. I have found his post surgical care wonderful. Even though he is physically a few hours away I have never had any problems getting my questions answered either pre or post op.
