Yogurts adding fresh fruit (not processed, peeled) - I love plain Greek
Yogurt, and there are many carb friendly products to choose from. Do you
like cottage cheese? It can be used as a base for shakes, with salsa (a
favorite of mine), fruit, or on its on. Special K, Fibre One offer cereals
(along with LOTS of other low carb cereals) is an option. You should also
concider what TYPE of carbs you are avoiding. The body NEEDS carbohydrates
- focus on COMPLEX carbs (whole grains, nuts, fruits).

Most stores have their own brand of Peaches with nutra-sweet. I use a few
wedges in my cottage cheese for breakfast. Cottage cheese is also good
along with a salad. Super high in protein. If you live where there are
Kroger Grocery stores. They have a yogurt called "Carb Master" It
is low sugar and has 9 protein. Another super breakfast.

I can't eat eggs alone so I take a bit of diced bacon, and brown it and
tear up a half of corn tortilla in it and brown that, then add an egg and
big spoonful of salsa..mix it and scramble the egg and cook till done, then
top with shredded cheese, it does not look pretty but it is good and does
not taste like eating eggs.
I also use Unjury unflavored protein powder and put in a blender with fresh
strawberries, some plain Greek yogurt and a dab of vanilla extract and
blend..you will have a great shake with over 20 grams of protein in one
shot.

Low fat cottage cheese has been a Godsend for me. For breakfast I like to
mix some chocolate protein powder in it with a little splenda. YUM!

Hi I love tofu, the great thing about it is that it has tons of protein and
its low in carbs,....I take it drain it from the package, crumble it
"it actually looks like scramble eggs" and throw it into a frying
pan with some oregano and basil and a little mrs dash seasoning and I cut
up a veggy burher in half cut it into cubes and add that to it I mix it as
it cooks and the moisture that remains from the toffu evaporates and its
absolutely wonderful... you will think your eating eggs but without the
smell or taste of eggs....I have made a sauce base with toffu and it looks
and taste like ameat....it takes the taste of what ever you like to season
it with....have fun and play with it.....

While not specifically low carb, I eat steelcut oatmeal 5 or 6 days a week
for breakfast.
Steelcut oatmeal is a whole grain, has protein and is low glycemic meaning
it won't spike your blood sugar and leave you ravenous 2 hours later. You
can always stir some egg white into it and microwave to increase the
protein or also eat a turkey sausage with it.
I'm not trying to tell you not to follow your Doctors/nutritionists
guidelines, but not all carbs are created equal. Everyone is different in
their needs (but we all need some good carb) and I eat the oatmeal on days
that I will be working out intensely.

I had greek yogurt, but at 7 weeks out, I was not allowed to have fruit.
You can have cottage cheese, laughing cow cheese and beans.

I know you're specifically looking for no eggs or chicken... but this is
what I found works REALLY well for me, and considering the taste
difference, it MIGHT work for you as well. I take WalMart's Great Value
Fat Free Turkey Breast Lunchmeat, use half a piece and dice it quite fine,
then dice up two or three mushroom slices (also very fine), and then add
about 10-12 grams of Weight Watchers 4-Cheese Shredded Mexican to one
serving of Eggbeaters Original formula and scramble it together. The
Eggbeaters are not anywhere near as "heavy" as real eggs, and
without any of the fat or cholesterol. Took me a few days to get used to
them, but with the turkey and the mushrooms and cheese added in, the taste
is quite good. I also have (or HAD - at your distance out) a quarter of a
banana for potassium and carbs and one large strawberry, washed and sliced
and sprinkled with a packet of Splenda. That might be way too much for you
to eat yet... but you could make it up and it would be at least two, maybe
three meals for you. I was also told that Kashi Instant Oatmeal is a very
good option, espeically if you stir some unflavored protein powder in it
after it's cooked and cooled down a little. It's yummy, and the carbs are
complex, and it's heart-healthy. Another thing I LOVE is Oikos Plain Greek
Yogurt (VERY high in Protein and low in carbs). I take the 4 ounce cup and
mix it with a little vanilla extract, a couple of packets of Splenda, and a
tablespoon of Polaner Sugar-free Strawberry Preserves with Fiber. OMG -
addictive! Another person mentioned cottage cheese and peaches. I found
that using fat-free cottage cheese and Del Monte Diced Peaches in Water is
a terrific option - yummy, and high in protein and calcium. Finally, I
love Jimmy Dean Turkey sausages (they're pre-cooked and can be microwaved).
They've got a little more fat than I like, but at seven weeks out, you
still don't have to worry too much about fat content as long as it's not
too much at one time. Hope this helps1

I just hit my one year anniversary and I still have bariatric protein
smoothie. They are an excellent source of protein, and have low calorie and
low carb. You could add fruit or coffee with ice and it makes great
smoothies. There are also so many flavors out there you can change them
around. My favorite is Bariatric Fusion. I think they average 27 grams of
protein and 140 calories. I tried many other things, but this is quick,
great flavors and very fulling.
It will get better, your system is still healing. Also, many doctors do not
even want someone only 7 weeks out eating solids. I was not allowed solids
for 3 months.
I continue with the protein shakes in the morning as it really gives me a
great boost in the morning.
Good luck!!!
