stop and take a close look at how you are eating now. write down everything you put in your mouth for a week and then study it. also, are you still exercising? i too have gained some wt. i am almost 3years postop and have gained about 17 pounds, but i know i have not been exercising and i have started eating more carbs. we can get back on track-just put your mind to it-GOOD LUCK!!!

Same here, I got on the scales this morning and I am back up 5 lbs. Yes I know that isn't much, but I refuse to allow myself to stay this weight! I have been eating to many carbs and also hadn't been exercising. So I am back at it this week. I am starting with Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVD's. Did a mile Monday and today. We can do this!!!! We did not lose all this weight and go through this surgery to put the weight back on!!!! Hugs Kim

I love that Leslie, (I thought her name was Lisa) Sansone's walking show. I go to On Demand and use that, but I too am thinking I should buy the DVD. I can walk 2 miles with ease. I also walk daily with my dogs. My biggest fear is to gain weight, so I weigh myself probably 3 times a week.

Hi ! Congrats on your losses and know that you are not too far out of control . This can be easily managed by making a few adjustments to your schedule. First off,,,you have to journal You have to. It keeps you accountable and allows you to SEE what you are doing wrong. Second, go to a support group. They are there to help..if you can find a good one. Thirdly, ask yourself if you are following all the rules of success...journaling, protein first, vitamins, exercising, no drinking 30 mins before, during or after you eat, chew foods atleast 20 times, and wait 5 mins between bites..also, try to have meals last between 20-30 minutes..meaning no more than 7 bites...of course being further out, you may eat more to maintain your goal weight. I am 2 yrs out and still only eat 4 ounce meals and i eat 4-5 tmes a day to get my calories in for the day. I walk/run 5-10 miles a day..so I consume about 1500 calories. I am very calorie conscious and I eat very few carbs..eat very little white flour...I eat things that I know are nutritious vs things for taste pleasure. I have totally changed my outlook on food, and it feels very normal to me now.I have lost a total of 125 lbs went from 240 to 115 lbs and have maintained for over a year. I hope you can get yourself back to a place of enjoying foods and keeping the gain in control. Hugs n prayers, Kim

Eating too many. then I found this wonderful website for us gainers and out of controllers to help us get back on track it is www.5daypouchtest.com it is just what we need. Wish you all the best to get back on track. We need to remember how we felt when we lost all the pounds and how good we felt.
