Question:
Im am a big breasted women. Will I lose my breasts?
I weigh 329. I wear a 40D bra. I was wondering if I am going to lose my breasts. I hope they reduce but hope to not come out flat chested — marissajmp (posted on October 13, 2009)

you will lose some size, not much but i have gone from a 50 DD to a 44DD. i
have lost 65 pounds since 6/1/09. i would like to loose some more off my
large breast size. i weighed 325 before surgery and i am at 264.

I don't want to discourage you but mine have absolutely deflated, they are
still there but they look like tube socks
with marbles in the bottom of them! I had surgery 6/17/09, I have lost
91.5 pounds. I started out 46D, now I'm pretty much a 40 rolled up D.

i went from a 42D to a 36C and my boobs are kind of shriveled and wrinkly.
not a pretty sight.... but DEFINITELY more attractive than being MO.

Oh my! Seeing the answers to this is scaring me!! I have lost 54lbs thus
far and have lost some but not much and have not had to change sizes just
yet but do wear my bra tighter now. It seems to be all in poportion. I
would think that cardio would tighten this area up as well...Best of luck
to you!

I have not had surgery as of yet but that is also a fear of mine. Right now
I wear a 44D and I think that my breast are too small now so what will they
look like after I lose 200lbs.

HI I had the RNY on 2/19/09. I started at 300 lbs and now weigh 179. My
initial breast size was 42DD. I am now a 36C. It's not that bad. The
size is still there. My only complaint is that they're not as firm and sag
more than before. People have definately noticed the change in my chest
size. Maybe in the future I'll get a lift but for now push up bras will
do. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I just had a breast reduction back in December. I learned about size. LOL
I have gained and lost 50 pounds several times over the year and never lost
in that area. I was disappointed because the only thing that ever changed
was my band size. When I saw the surgeon I learned that some people have
dense breasts and some have fatty. If you have dense, you likely don't
lose much when you lose weight. If you have fatty, you will lose alot. I
went from a DDD/F to a B and that was 7 pounds worth. You may be able to
answer your own question based on what has happened in previous diet
attempts.

Well I weighed 212 and now weigh 112 I went from a 42 D to a 34B and I am
delighted in my clothes which I can now wear cute little tops in small. In
person the girls look a little worn but I am 58 so that is OK I think the
younger you are the better chance you have of keeping some shape without
implants, but I agree with the tube sock theory.

I am also big breasted - or was, sort of - I was a 46 GG - I am now a 40 E
- but they hang so bad - it is like looking at pancakes hanging down on the
front of me! I have lost 150 lbs and still have a ways to go, but plan on
having breast reconstruction - there is supposedly enough fat on the sides,
etc. that things can be built up without implants and give me decent size
breasts. But it is so much better than having all that extra weight on me!

It really does depend on your build and makeup but I doubt they'll go away
completely. I was wearing a 44G/H and after less than 1 yr (gastric bypass)
and 120+ lbs lost I just bought a 40C in one style and a 40D in another.
I'm thrilled about that but... they're pretty much bags now, could
literally tuck them into my belt. Depressing at age 32, but that's what
augmentation (and push-up bras!) are for. ;)

Well Reading all the comments I thought that I would put in my 2 cents so
to speak...LOL
I had a breast reduction back in 2001 and I was still obese at that time.
Then I lost weight now and I am on the surgical waiting for RNY. (Meeting
with surgeon in DEC) funny thing is this. I lost weight and really
noticable in my back so yes the bra size goes down but now with age being a
contributing factor now (46yrs)With the weight loss that my
"boobs" are loose and yes hanging. Hubby tells me that I look
boob wise normal for my age. But being a woman I want those teen boobs back
BUT>>> I am told by my doctor that after the surgery (RNY) that I
would be eligable for one free government funded surgery (CANADA)and I
would have to choose one of the following. Tummy, interior legs or interior
arms or breasts. From where I stand at this moment I will be choosing the
tummy as the tummy is now loose and hanging (pre-op weight loss)so I can
only imagine how much more hanging it will be post surgery and final weight
loss.
Boobs are able to be hidden with a good light foam padded bra I use that
now Looks wonderful like teen boobies again!Yea for camouflage!!! LOL. But
the tummy.... is another thing even a "old fashioned girdle won't help
for me" Mabey I could borrow a wheel barrow??? Anyone offering one??
PLEASE??? cheap??? LOL

you will go down... I went back to my original size. I have always been
large so after I reached my goal I was back down to a 38D which is where I
was before I gained all my weight. The only real issue is them bouncing
off my knees because I they are sagging... They make good bra's for that
(LOL)

Hi I can tell you this much...I was a 44 DD and now I am a 36 D, but my
breasts are proportional to my body. Naked..I look awful..My boobs are soft
and squishy and I have some hanging skin around my belly, butt, but I feel
so much better! If I was younger (or single) I would consider surgery to
fix the areas, but I am 45 married and my hubby doesn't seem to mind my new
body. I lost 120 pounds and I am short..4'11. If you are young, you may not
get like me. But then again, you may...but who cares? You will be
healthier and feel so much better! My daughter is 23 and had surgery done
this passed June. She has about 150 lbs to lose and will sag, but it didn't
stop her. She wants to FEEL good. Looking good is only part of the package
any ways. And as I said, there is surgery to fix that. And I do look good
in clothes. No one could ever tell I was fat. I hope this doesn't
discourage you. This surgery saved me in so many ways. I hope it will save
you too! hugs n God Bless, Kim

A lot depends on your age and hormonal levels as far as cup size goes. You
will lose quite a bit in your back. I started out being a 44D and after
losing 70 pounds I am down to a size 40B. I am very happy with my smaller
breasts. Even though I am 56 years old they are still firm and not droopy.
Breasts are mainly fat tissue, just keep that in mind.

We all lose weight in different areas first. As far as me though, I went
from a 46DDD to about a 34C. I actually like the girls sooo much better.

Hello - had RNY in 9/2006 and lost 200+ pounds. The girls went from a 44G
to a 32-34D. Yes, they changed significantly and they don't look very
attractive (tube socks with golf balls at the end is a good analogy). But
as another poster said I am thrilled with the small tops I can wear now and
a good push-up bra works ok. In time I may have reconstructive surgery,
but the weight loss and how good I feel by far outweighs any concerns I
have about my chest area.

In case you are worried about what men will think of them, there are plenty
that love saggy boobs (take my bf for example) lol good luck. I hope mine
don't deflate too much. Currently a 46DDD, but I have always had big ones
even when I was thin. Been wearing a real bra since third grade. Widh me
luck too!

You will most likely lose some. Mine have done the tube sock thing also.
My friends and I joke that pretty soon I won't need to wear a bra because I
will just be able to tuck them into the waist of my pants. LOL Like the
others here, it is worth the exchange to be healthy!
