Question:
I had a really hard surgery, was in the hospital 3 wks

I am now out 3 months, have only lost 43 lbs but for the last month have not lost any weight. I have had a hard recovery but am sticking to my protien and water intake. I had a ct done yesterday to see if all is well, I had 8 hernias repaired in the surgery and feel like they are still there. Any suggestions to unstall my weight loss?    — nkings2003 (posted on September 12, 2009)

Dear Nina, so sorry to hear of all the problems you went through. Hopefully, the ct will come back ok. I am six months out and have lost about 74 pounds. Alot of people lose much faster. I went about a month around your stage without losing. Don't know why. I've had people tell me they did too. All you can do is follow the diet, get your protein and water in and exercise and hope all goes well.Good luck. Sincerely, JoAnn

Sounds like you've really had a hard time. Your strength and determination are something to be very proud of. This is not an easy process even when thing run smoothly. The best thing I have found to get off a weight loss slump, is the 5 day pouch test. I have only used it once during this weight loss adventure, put it sure put me back on the right track. I thought I was still following all the "rules" but after doing this test realized how far I was stretching those rules. Here is the website http://5daypouchtest.com/ and good luck to you in the future.
