It depends on the consistency of the food you are eating. More dense foods
will fill you up faster. So no that won't hurt you. Just make sure you
aren't forcing yourself to eat 3 oz. As long as you are comfortable then
you are okay. I can eat a lot of one food protein or not, just depends on
how thick and compact it sits in the pouch is the only way I really can
describe it. I used to think that I had stretched out my pouch because
some days I can eat a lot and other days I couldn't eat much at all. So it
also depends on your appetite. Best Wishes to you.

I agree. I am also 3 months out and have lost 50 lbs. Actually I do not
like using lost as that implies you are looking for it and I definitely am
not looking for it.
I can eat 4 ozs of cottage cheese-the lite and livily but can only eat 3
ozs of chicken. I also make sure to have one protein shake with whey
protein powder to make sure I get the protein in as well as liquids. I
found I can not drink plain water anymore nor can I handle Crystal light
but the slightly flavored water works.

I was taught to eat til satisfied and not to worry about exact
amounts...You are supposed to begin to eat more and more gradually...and
some days you can eat more than other days...I ate what I needed without
eating til I felt full or tight...Eat til you are satisfied and don't aim
for that full feeling and you won't break anything! :) At three months out
I was able to eat about a half a sandwich! I had stopped drinking my
protein then as well and ate all my protein by 3 months...Move along at
your own pace and don;t try to feel full...that tight/ or painful feeling
is what might do any damage...You will KNOW when you are stretching your
pouch or stoma...It does not feel good! Eat on a schedule as well or you
can skip the stretching part and just eat all day long and gain weight
without streching anything at all except you waist size! But in general,
some days you can eat more than otehr days...or enjoy something one day and
not be able to tolerate it the next...At least that has been my
experience...At some point though you need to eat more than 2 oz of food if
you are ever going to be healthy! Good luck!
