Question:
will bcbs pay for bat wing surgery
Will bcbs pay for removal of the hanging skin on the upper arms after significant weight loss? — SusanSp (posted on May 3, 2009)

Unfortunately, no, they did not pay for any extra skin removal when I
needed it, so I financed it and got it done anyway. We finance homes,
cars, vacations etc ... why not OURSELVES!? Hope they have changed their
policy and will pay for this necessary part of the journey that they DID
pay the first part of (the actual bariatric surgery). Doesn't make sense
to me not to pay for the skin removal which is pretty much a
"given" following massive weight loss - in any case, BEST OF LUCK
TO YOU! Kim
