This happened to me fairly recently. I was probably 18 months out. Had 4
courses of antibiotics before it finally broke. Yes...it was annoying. But
I made it though. Good luck.

Best thing to do is increase your water intake. Not coffee, or tea, or
crystal lite, etc. water. Bacteria's are getting more resistive to meds
these days so may take more then one or two. Might also drink some
cranberry juice although now there saying this might not help, but it
couldn't hurt. No bubble baths either. Good Luck.

Only take showers... Tub baths are not good all the time. And if you have
sex ALWAYS go pee after to clean the urinariy tract. Also the cranberry
juice Ocean Spray now has one made with Splenda and it is very good. Drink
alot. or you can get at the health food store the cranberry tabets. I have
had kidney stones and they hurt really really bad. So just take care and
drink drink drink. I am 18 months out now and I drink all the time. Water,
or Cranberry Juice, or lemon water. Good luck.

I had several during the first few months out. It was due to lack of
drinking enough fluids. There are alot of toxins being flushed out of the
fat cells. You must drink constantly! Good luck! There is a sugar free
cranberry drink out now by ocean spray, that might help!

I would suggest asking for a referral to a urologist. Recurrent UTIs can
be a sign that you have some sort of problem with your urethra, bladder, or
kidneys. In response to "Can't stay on antibiotics forever...",
some doctors do prescribe a small daily dose of antibiotics to prevent
UTIs. This is taken long term (months/years).
Good luck!

I agree with Sid. Get a referral to a Urologist. I too always had UTI
Infections. My Doctor finally got suspious and sent me for a cat scan and
it was a tumor in my ureter (Tube that empty's urine from the kidney to the
bladder). So don't ignore it. Go see a urologist.

Has anyone tried a probiotic? It helps to maintain/retain the natural
bacteria in your body (especially the urinary tract). Good luck!

I had the same thing happen. They had me on a crapload of different meds.
They all made me sick I threw up with all them. My advicevery personal!! K
No pantyliners, wear cotton underwear, drink water my urologist said water
no cranberry, No Bathes, and use summerseve fem. wash sensitive, pee b4 and
after sex, and if u have a hippie/nature store there is a med called
"Go Less" its great. I hope this helps. They had me do pee
cultures and tests and said no bacteria. So they put me on random meds. and
finally I had enough and just started drinking water and all the above. So
hope that helps any more ?'s p.m. me!
