Question:
Does anyone know of a support group in IL. close to Dixon?

Not from the area but I am involved in a conference support group all u need is long distance and a lot of people have this included in phone plan so if u r interested in on phone support sat. 10 am let me know email here or tammi98836live.com hope this helps their is not one in my area and this gives a great opportunity to talk with OH friends

It looks like Dixon is about an hour or so west of Elk Grove Village, Il where there is a Bariatric Center of Excellence at Alexian Brothers Hospital. They may have information about a support group there or closer to your area. You may also want to inquire about a group through the surgeon's office where you plan to have WLS or where you have had it done. I have found that just becoming friends with a few people on a few WLS websites and people that either work at my employer or attend my church have also been helpful. Because WLS is done more frequently, there is always someone that knows someone that has had it who can be a good resource person. Best of luck!
