37# in 2 months is absolutely amazing!!! What did you expect? I think you
need to cut yourself some slack and realize that this is not a diet, this
is a life long commitment to health and wellness. Keep up the good work
and you will not be fat for long.
Best of luck,

What type of surgery did you have and what kind of weight loss did your
doctor talk to you about that you don't think you have lost enough weight
for. The weight you have lost in two months is a lot of weight. Do you
have baggy, saggy skin? I don't want to loose my weight too fast because I
can hardly bear the thought of the saggy skin. I am a Realize band
patient.

Kim there are so many things you don't say in your question. Where did you
start, how much do you hope to lose? Did you really think you would lose
it all in 2 months? Is there ever a time in your life that you lost 37
pounds in 2 months? You have so much to be thankful for. We all fight for
every pound we lose, and you will be no different. This is no miracle,
just a tool. Use your tool daily and be thankful Kim, you will get so much
benefit from those two things. Keep up the good work. Water, protein and
exercise are all very important right now. I lost an average of 2 pounds
per week over a year, one day at a time, one week at a time, one meal at a
time, and one mile at a time. You will too if you stick with it. Take
care, Patricia P.

Hi! You are doing great! You are still fat for two reasons...one, the
weight doesn't come off with a flick of the knife. You have to lose the
fat. it takes time. I have lost 83 pounds and it has taken me 6 months to
do so. Can you imagine losing it all in a month? Your body would probably
go into shock! 2., You will still see yourself fat, even when you are not.
I still see myself in pictures and think, wow I am still so fat. I weigh
145 and am not really all that heavy, but my mind still sees the fat me. It
takes time for your minds eye to catch up. Take this time to re learn to
eat properly and enjoy the ride. In 6 months (from surgery) you will wonder
what all the fuss was about.. Remember -to lose slower gives you time to
tone up undamaged skin! Good luck and congrats!! hugs, Kim

Kim congradulations.37 lbs is a lot in 2 months. First and formost....
Loosing too fast will leave you unhealthy and lots of loose skin. MUST
drink water and excerise. Walk walk walk...no sugar of any kind even
sugar free jello. As you know the weight didn't get there over night.
Surely, your doctor and nurses told you this. I have so much material from
my doctor and nurses along with we are required to attain classes and
haven't even had my surgery yet. Attending those classes tells us what to
eat and what to expect. The band is a tool as well as the gastric surgery.
Support groups like this is good also. Dr.Fang/Dr. Juarz are wonderful.
Good luck.

You must give yourself a year...You didn't really expect to be thin in two
months, did you? Okay so I think many of us think we'd see a huge change
right away and when we don't we think we're doing bad or not enough...But
37 lbs is good! I didn't see any big change until I lost 60 lbs...after
that it seemed like I was just melting...Give yourself time...at least a
year! It took me 15 ish months before I lost all that I was going to
lose...(150 total from 315lbs)

You are doing fine. Everyone who posted is right. 37 pounds 2 months
post-op is great. Weight loss takes time and effort.
And are you exercising? The surgery isn't the cure to weight loss. You
have to follow the program and also exercise as much as you can. You can
do this but remember it won't happen overnight; be patient. Do your best
to stick to your program. Good Luck and God Bless,

Hi, just hang in there, you are doing fine....as the old saying goes, Rome
was not built in a day! It is going to take time to get the weight off,
does not come off over night. Keep the faith, and follow what your doctor
says, and you will see the results. Some times your scales may not show
the weight you are losing, but the tape measure will show your loss
also...have to give your body time to adjust and catch up with the weight
losts. Good Luck and Best Wishes for a Healthy New year. Farmgirl58
