Question:
If hungry is it better to have another optifast or eat vegetable ?

I have been told to have 3 optifast /day. SOmtimes i may feel hungry and peckish, shoud i nibble or have another optifast. My surgery is lapband and my BMI is 38    — slims (posted on September 12, 2008)

I'd stick with what you've been told to do. If you have a problem with, go to the person who told you to have 3 optifast. Perhaps there's a good reason for it.

I also are on a pre opt diet of liquid. I have been told I can drink all I want of the following, crystal light, water, soup broth,sugar free kool aid or sugar free tang, diet snapplen fruit20, propel, coffee or tea with sugar substitute, comsume these in moderation atkins shakes or carb solutions shakes: 3 per day DO NOT BUY SLIM FAST,ENSURE,BOOST, ECT(I don't know why but that is what my paper say's) 3 Or less of the following milk, skim or 1%lactaid or 2%, 8 oz. light yogurt hope this help's. Because Optifast is a very-low-calorie-diet, it has more vitamins/minerals/nutrients than the foods you normally eat and drink. Eating/drinking more could potentially give you too much of one thing or another. This is definitely a question for your doctor/surgeon. Good luck to you!

By all means follow the guidelines you were given, but do not graze or nibble. That will eventually lead to your regaining the weight you lose. If you feel you have to have something, go for protein and a little carbohydrate for energy and satiety. Check out Jack Links Jerky for a protein snack. It's low fat, high protein and helps you develop the chewing habit, all without needing refrigeration. :-)
