Question:
Do you get the same pregnancy symptoms as someone that hasn't had WLS?
I had WLS surgery 18 months ago and now we are trying to conceive our first child I was wondering if I will get the same early pregnancy of morning sickness as a woman that hasn't had WLS? If anyone knows please respond! — sazzycassie (posted on March 27, 2008)

When I got pregnant I was extremely tired the first three months. Before I
even got pregnant I could tell something was different. Sometimes I was
sitting on the sofa and I would feel so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open.
I was never like that. I was never pregnant before that but I know being
tired is one symptom for anybody. I know everybody is different no matter
if you had the surgery or not. Sometimes while I was pregnant I would get
naseous but I never threw up. Well I hope i've helped.

I had 2 children before WLS and 1 after. It was pretty much the same. I
think because my last pregnancy happened so quick after my WLS (6 weeks) I
was more tired. I would come home from work at 4:30 and go straight to bed
until the next morning. Hubby would wake me up and make me eat something.
When i got sick most of the time it was just that foamy stuff (didn't get
sick with my first 2 pregnancies).

Hi,
I also had two children before bypass and one a year after. I also
felt very tired first I knew something was different not like the other
two. This pregnancy was much easyer then the first two, my other boys were
9"5 and 9"8 this little guy was 7 pounds. I had a great prgnancy
but I do remember being very tired. Good luck, We're trying too, one more
time for that girl but I love my boys so one more would make a team. I was
on lots of fertility drugs with the first ones then I was told I would
never have another one without IVF. After RNY 10 Years later God proved
them wrong. Anna
