Question:
Obtaining Life Insurance before surgery

I want to obtain life insurance before surgery just in case but have been unable to qualify for traditional and no exam policies based on my weight. Has anyone been able to get life insurance even while being morbidly obese? If so, by what company? Thanks!    — here_is_the_deepest_secret (posted on October 15, 2007)

I have Globe Life Insurance and was SUPER SUPER morbidly obese when I took out this policy years back

Some banks and credit unions offer life insurance to their customers/members or if your a member of an orginzation they might offer it so I would start there.

before my surgery i thought i had life insurance only to realize it was an accidental policy! i was horrified and tried my best to get some, but because i had started my process for the surgery and every company is gonna ask are you planning on any type of surgery and you must be honest, therefore they all turned me down and said i would be eligible about 6mo after the surgery. thank God nothing happened!
