well I did not really start doing diet about 2 weeks before OP. But after
you final exem from a doc there tell you that you should try not to gain
anymore weight . So just try to hold you weight what you got now and than 2
weeks before OP you should start on a liquid diet. Is better for the
surgery so you liver will not be to fat and you can empty your stomach the
night before surgery. That is how you supposed to do it her in germany
maybe is different in the sates

I had 10 weeks of preapproval classes and then had to wait for my preop
which is next week and surgery 4/18- anyway I started implementing most of
the diet changes during my classes- so far have lost 33# - So I don't think
there is ever a too early time to start using the good diet habits we are
taught.

Some surgeon's do not require pre-op dieting although anything you can get
off before would be great. My surgeon has me on a 4 week pre-op skim milk
diet. For 10 minutes 3-5 times a day I can drink all of the skim milk I
want to - that is it. Good luck!

Hi, All surgeons are diferent. We had to attend 10 lifestyle classes and 10
nutrition classes and lose 10% of our excess weight. when we completed this
, than we were submitted for approval. We did not have to do liquid for 1
mo or anything close. Just 2 day bowel prep and clear liquids before
surgery. Ask your surgeon, they all have their own routine.
good luck
