Question:
Do the seasons affect our weight losts?
I was thinking and wondering if the post-ops from last year ever noticed if they lost more in the summer or lost more in the winter? If they had plateus (sp) more in one season than the other? What other changes if any did you notice from one season to the other? Thanks for answering. — curiousjane (posted on March 18, 2003)

I'm always more motivated to exercise and eat fruit in the summer, which
helps with weight loss. In the winter, I just want to eat and hibernate.

I think this is a tough question to answer, because of one BIG variable:
When you have your surgery. We all tend to lose more in the early months
following surgery, no matter what season we happened to have had our
surgery in, so ... how could we figure out what (if any) effect the seasons
have, compared to the time out from surgery that we are? I could see
asking really long-term post-ops who've been out for several years (and I'm
guessing you'd find that some see a gain over the winter holiday season
'cause of party goodies and cold weather sedentary lifestyle, while summer
shows perhaps a small loss for some due to more outdoor activities -- but
that's what I'd expect to hear from normies, too). Otherwise, I'm stumped
on this one ....
