At MY BMI IDOES KAISER PERM. INSURANCE COVER WLS?

I"M NEW IN CA. I UNOFFICIAL HEARD THAT KAISER DOES NOT COVER THIS SURGERY & THEY HAVE ALREADY GONE TO COURT OVER THIS. IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAD KAISER WON ANY APPEALS ? DOSE ANYONE KNOW A GOOD LAWYER, THAT SPECIALIZES IN THIS AREA? PLEASE LET ME KNOW    — KAREN K. (posted on August 8, 1999)

I don't have any knowledge about Kaiser insurance but have heard about a good attorney. He had the surgery done himself. His name is Walter Lindstrom and his website is www.obesitylaw.com. Hope this helps and good luck.

Hello, I have Kaiser and have for many years. Several years ago, inquired with my personal physical about wls and after having my case submitted to the"committee", I was approved and had an open RNY in Oct.96. Have heard from many people in Kaiser land who have had surgery. If you qualify( medically indicated) you shouldn't have a problem being approved. If you want more info, feel free to contact me.
