A ten pound per month average is just about ideal in my opinion. I'm not real sure what your point was, but I'm going to assume you are concerned about when will the weight loss stop? When your body is ready to stop. :-) What I keep hearing is continue to allow yourself to lose for as long as you feel good and you are listening to your body. It gives you a little room to gain a little back when everything settles down and it's time to go into maintenance mode. Congratulations on your terrific loss and I hope you are feeling fantastic!

i have lost over 250 pounds so far. I am averaging around 7 to 10 pounds a month loss. I went through the stalls. I just kept doing what the doc and my own body told me too. You have done amazing work! If you need to lose more, talk with your doctor about not losing and see what he/she has to say. If you are in maintenance mode, congratulations! Phase two of the hard work begins..grin. And if you were saying that how you keep positive about a stall is that you remember that you have lost a gob stopping amount of weight in less than 24 months, i do that too!! I read the success habits book for gastric patients and i made a chart and plotted out the numbers every time the doc weighed me. then i would look at that chart when a stall hit and draw in highlighter between the weights. One LONG downward line. Felt pretty awesome about that. I also set my goal weight for two years out. I am almost there at a little over a year out. Another thing you can do to stay positive is keep track in a journal all your little victories. Like when you dont need an extender for the seatbelt, or when you crossed your legs again for the first time in years, or when you could tie your own shoes, etc. reading those gave me a laugh and a positive attitude when i slowed down. Hope i covered your topic?? have a great day and congrats on the healthier you!

I've reviewed your history at your OH website! Congratulations! The two responders have provided you great advice and help William; but, would you please let us (me) know what you mean about feeling the same? What does this mean? Blessings, Christine Gibson

You are looking fantastic! Way past time for you to be keeping a journal of your progress. Yes, you are almost at the point of stabilization. Your body has gone through tremendous changes and now, you are beginning the road to successful stabilization. This means you need to know more than anyone else about what is right for you. This means: proper nutrition (protein first, second, and third), followed by pulverizing greens mixed with fruits for green smoothies, and then vegetables, making sure you pay attention to malabsorption and bio-availability of protein issues, recognize there are few medical folks who have a good understanding of what malabsorption really means for you (they will wrongly prescribe medications and quantities that are completely inappropriate for you, they will wrongly think they are providing for you the proper amount of daily protein, and are not! -- thus causing your body to leach out protein from your bones and muscles, and even causing fatigue, hair loss, and other extreme debilitating issues -- and think they know what they are doing), plus the on-going life-long need for regularly having complete and exhaustive blood work tests to ensure everything remains as it should. Know too, that few MDs are trained in malabsorption issues. Time also to commence fleshing out what you have posted at OH. My prayers are with you; and, time to trade in those pants. They are miles too big for you! Blessings, Christine Gibson OH support group leader and coach, and Bariatric University Trained Coach www.obesityhe lp.com/group/BellevueWA
