Question:
Has anybody feel like your pouch is supper tender after a bad night of gas?
I am 2 1/2wks or so out and had some egg whites only two bites and later paid for it! Now every time I eat my pouch still feels sour 2days later — jolee4911 (posted on January 23, 2011)

Sorry to hear about this discomfort. I'm 10 days post op and today I ate a
one egg omelet with regular cheese. It took 4 meals to eat it, but my pouch
was fine. I also had some chowder soup - I didn't eat any of the chicken or
veggies in it, I gave those to my dog. No problems with my pouch so far. I
think everyone is different. Hopefully someone else can help. One thing I
can suggest, if your stomach can handle it, some milk. I know, sounds
weird, but it's what soothed my pouch. Good luck!! 3-4 months and we will
both be golden.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Something warm in the little pouch
might help. Some broth or tea maybe. Previous poster is correct, everyone
reacts differently. I did not do well with eggs in any shape or form for
quite awhile after my surgery. I use soy milk more often now. Give
yourself a little time and realize that for you eggs may not be worth
another try for awhile.
