I have heard most say 40/30/30 (40gm protein, 30gm carbs, and 30gm Fat).
My NUT never spelled it out that way. she told me to eat 1000-1200
calories, 80-100gm carbs, and she didn't mention fats at all. Good luck.

I am supposed to have 60 grams of protein a day, at least that much if not
a little bit more. My carbs are supposed to be complex and NO SUGAR at
all. Plus, I am supposed to eat my protein first.

I don't know about percentages, but Dr. Michael Snyder in Denver has us
eating between 75 to 90 (I personally eat about 120) grams of protein, less
than 50 grams of carbs and ideally, 25 or less grams of fat....but we can
have up to 40 grams on special, infrequent occasions.

My Nut has only told me that the fats should be about 30% of the total
calories and that I should get a minimum of 60g of protein. I get an
average of 85 - 95g of protein daily. Carbs are at about 30% also and
generally under 50g. My carbs come from fruits and vegitables and whole
grains.

For me, ALL protein and veggies are free! As much as I want of them.
Carbs on the other hand are limited to 30Gms a day, but I do cheat! Once I
have gone over 50Gms, I let it go, get it out of my system, (like a whole
bag of Tootsie Rolls!) then back to sticking with my limit for the next
week or so. LOL* I have maintained a 140# weight loss for over a year now,
had my last Band adjustment in April 2010. I NEVER count calories or fat
grams...only carbs and I try to make sure I get 40-60 Gms protein a day.

Regardless of your situation you MUST intake AT LEAST 50 to 60 grams of
protein DAILY (the more the better) on top of your daily fluid intake(water
broth ect) as for the carbs you need to really keep it at 120 grams of
carbs a day..the most...no more than that...remember carbs turn into fat...
and your trying to allow your body to burn the fat that it already has
laying around...so dont feed it any more...lol
I dont know were you live but and if you are near a
"Trader Joes".. but they sell a protein shake with only 1 gram of
sugar and 35 grams of Protein per serving..the can is 11oz and it cost
$2.10 ...they are great....I showed my NU and she said that she had heard
about them and was glad that I was able to get them, she said in order for
me to get the 60 grams of protein that I needed after surgery that I needed
to drink 1 and 1/2 cans THATS ALL...it might take you all day to drink them
but at least you are getting your recommended amount of protein...if you
are able to drink a little more then go for it...the more protein at this
stage the better...and the less hair loss you will have if any...DONT FOR
GET TO TAKE YOUR MULTIVITAMINS AND YOUR SUPPLEMENTS...GOOD LUCK
