Question:
Need advice for juices that go well with Unjury

I begin my pre-op liquid diet on August 8th. I have to drink four shakes a day of the Unjury unflavored protein powder mixed with full sugar (non diet) fruit juice. I'm just looking for advice for juices... I rarely drink fruit juice, I like OJ, but can't see myself drinking it 4 x's/day for 8 days :(... I like apple juice, cranberry juice, etc... just need to know what ppl think would be good with the Unjury. Surgery is on August 16th! Woot!!    — Clumsybarbie (posted on July 31, 2010)

Hi! i used unflavored unjury aft4r surgery as the other protein drinks were too sweet from artificial sugars, and gagged me, but I mixed the unjury into Nestles flavored water. It took a few drinks to get used to it..not the unjury, but the flavored waters..lol and now i cannot drink those water unless unjury is in it! When I first began the unjury I mixed it into milk. I rarely drank juice before surgery but since I have found the dole brand juices tolerable. I dilute them 50/50 with water. Sometimes you just sick of drinking the same things over n over. So I will buy some juice and my grandbaby will drink what I don't. Surgery is coming soon! Congrats!! I would suggest going to as many support groups as possible between now and then to hear people's experiences and see the results yourself. People who attend regularly apt to be more successful as they feel they need to be accountable to the gorup. I, myself, go every thursday and run my own group twicea month. Best fo luck to you on your journey! A year from now you will look like a different person, and two years from now, you will feel like a different person! Congrats again! hugs n God Bless, Kim

I spoke with a representative from Unjury and they recommended Crystal Light pink lemonade with the strawberry, but I did not like it at all. The only thing I found that works with Unjury (which is my favorite protein powder) is milk. Odd that they're requiring you to drink so much juice. Sounds like way too much sugar.
