Question:
Hi I have had my band adjusted 5 times now and very little restriction.

It seams like I don't have any restrictions at all . I had the surgery to stop me from eating and it only does every now and then, is my band loose, should it stop me every meal? I lost 40 in the first 3 months, and not a pound since.    — Babbtims (posted on April 11, 2010)

Hi,Tim I also have had a band 12/24 and have had 5 adjustments to 9cc's in a 11 cc realize band, I have lost a total of 50 lbs including preop 12 lbs. I feel your like I have good restriction for only a few days after the adjustment and then, I can eat basically anything, I have started to try with my own will power not to eat more than a cup of food per meal, eat protein first and then my veggies, I eat very little bread

Me too and it is very frustrating. They say maybe I am not eating the right foods. I have to eat more foods that make you chew like chicken, etc. I dont get it.... What does your doctor say? Linda You can email me back at [email protected]

I have 5cc's in my band now after alittle over a year. It is weird somedays I am restricted somedays I'm not. I was told to eat more chicken..most days its hard to. i lost weight the first few months then stopped..I gain and lose the same 10lbs. Good Luck...Im uping my cardio and strength training it seems to be starting to help...

I am going to have a fill under flouroscopy this Thursday. The same thing is happening to me. After I have a fill I am good for about 4 days, but then I have very little restriction. The last time I went to the MD he tried to draw out the "8 ccs" I was supposed to have in, he was only able to draw out 2. So you just check with your MD and be ASSERTIVE.
