Talk to your obstetician and tell him/her about your wls. He/she will tell
you how to handle the vitamins and your dietary needs to help your baby
grow. Let us know how you make out.

If you are pregnant, you should check with your surgeon & ob/gyn about
vitamins.I just read an article about not overdoing soy based products
while pregnant. So, if you use protein shakes or protein bars to help fill
your protein requirements, please make sure to look at the ingredients.
Whey in shakes and bars might be safer. Best of Luck To You

Hi, I agree with above posts to check with both your surgeon and OB doctor.
But as a doctor myself who delivered babies for 10 years as part of my
family practice I reccomend getting with a nutritionist as well. We doctors
are minimally trained in nutrition unless we have pursued information on
our own as part of our continuing education. The nitritionist needs to be
someone familiar with the special needs of both wls and pregnancy to help
you. Unless you are severely deficient in something baby will get what baby
needs but that can leave you way behind without careful supplementation.
Good luck and congratulations!! Kevin
