Intentionally? Only you would know that sweetie! If you meant to write "un" intentionally...then maybe you are over eating, dumping on certain foods or any combo of things...It's not normal to be vomiting a lot, especially after a year...So you might want to see the surgeon to help you figure it out...When you vomit, you lose all your nutrition and that could lead to terrible vitamin deficiencies and problems! Good luck with that...I hope you get that under control soon! Be well!

I was throwing up a lot for no reason in my first few months. They found an ulcer in my pouch. You might check with your doctor about that. I was even throwing up soup sometimes.

I'm not sure I understand your question. "Why do I throw up intentionally?" Is that what you meant to say? If so, do you have an eating disorder like bulemia or what do you think is going on. I'm confused. Please clarify. Dawn Vickers, RN, BLC, CLC

This is something you have to figure out yourself. I would suggesting finding a counselor or therapist to support you and help you figure things out. Good luck.

Yes, unfortunatly I do intentionally make myself throw up. I am afraid of gaining or not losing weight. Alot of the time it gives me sense of stability with weight. I did not have this problem before.

I just read that you meant "intentionally" and sweetie, you really need to talk to someone about that before it destroys your health. So many of us if not all of us fear gaining the weight back because in the past we eventaully gained back all our attempts at dieting. But the surgery itself is a tool that truly works if you just follow the basic rules...I stopped doubting myself finally, but always in the back of my mind sits a little healthy fear...Your fear is crippling you...You have to trust yourself and your tool...Post your question on the Grads boards and see what they say! You can post there at 1 year post op... Maybe there is someone else who is doing the same and is afraid to talk about it or someone who's been thru it and can give you some good advice or support. This is something I personally would see a therapist/shrink about because of how incredibly dangerous it is on your health and nutrition... Good luck and again...be well!
