My surgery is scheduled for the 12th and I am not enjoying this diet
either. Let me know if you find any suggestions!

I am two weeks out from having my surgery and my doc just switched me over
to puree foods, I hope its better then the liquid, nothing filled me. I
hope there is a solution to this problem. I asked the doc if I could take
in more and he said no..

Remember that you have no restriction yet and apparently your swelling went
down quickly. You need to keep drinking lots and lots of water to keep
yourself feeling somewhat satisfied. Keep in mind that if you decide to
break the rules and eat because you feel hungry, you might make your band
slip and that is a major problem. So, keep busy, sip, sip, sip and keep
your eye on the prize at the end of this experience.

Hey there, I'm in my 3rd year post op LapBand and remember it very well. I
did a total of 9 days of clear liquids between pre and post op and had
massive diarrhea the entire time. I was so weak and tired and even wrote
in my journal "what have I done?" "I paid cash for someone
to make me feel this bad?" Then the soft foods began and life became
much better... scrambled eggs, cottage cheese and the like. I think it was
day 9. When can you begin having some soft foods? Should be pretty soon
and trust me, you'll feel better. Then, when you can move on to solids and
actually get some satiety.. you'll be thrilled.
Hang in there, your broth days will soon be over... we're here and we have
felt your pain.

I lived on sugar free Popsicles and sugar free jello. You are very close
to soft foods and when those are introduced, you will be filled up more
than you are now. I remember that it was like eating chocolate cake when I
got some cottage cheese and soup. LOL hang in there!!

I found that sipping the water and whenever I was hungry I got up and
started moving, walking down to the corner and back, just staying busy. I
knew I had taken in what I needed and the hunger was not relevant. I have
found that physical activity will actually make the hunger subside. Hope
this helps.
