Question:
Are avocados good to eat?

Are Avocados a good source of protein for us? I ahve gotten where I can't eat, everything gets stuck. So i'm only eating mushy stuff or liquids. And I really like Grac salad. It seems really hard to get all the protein in!    — shellymarie (posted on March 5, 2008)

My doctor put them on my OK list after the first month. He said they ahve a lot of oil so try them slowly and see how you do. I had no problem, but almost any extra fat in beef will make me sick.

they have protein, but not an abundance of it....also see below: Avocado The avocado is high in fat, but most of the fat is the heart-healthy monounsaturated kind. you have to remember to chew your food till it turns to a thin mush before you swallow. then you should be ok . if you dont chew you wont be able to keep it down

There's a lot of good things in Avocados but an abundance of protein it is not. It's also not the worst food you could eat. I grew up in Key West and we did reach for an Avocado just like folks reach for apples elsewhere (I was a skinny kid, too)! Don't eat too much of this food but do enjoy it when you really need too.
