Rhonda, I know several 60+ aged people who have had the Lap Band and have had a difficult go of it. I know there must be some out there who have had a good experience, I just have as of yet to meet any in person! Have you investigated the Lap Sleeve Gastrectomy? Excellent restriction, but no foreign body implant. The studies that are coming in about it seem to show that it has a higher success rate. Blessings, dina

The main thing, I think, is to live close to your doctor so that if you have any problems, you can get in touch with them. I was going to have lapband, but decided that I lived too far away to get adjustments. I will be 65 this year.
