Im not sure from your question if you understand what PT is the initials
stand for Prothrombin Time, which is a lab test that tells the doctor how
quickly your blood will clot. Of course this is very important when going
into a surgery. Vitamin K can be given to increase blood clotting, and
there are also medications available to thin your blood, to prevent
clotting. Without knowing if your PT is high or low makes your question
difficult to answer.
