Question:
I've been told that I can't have gastrict by pass surgery because I have cirrohosis .

They say I can't have it done because cirrohosis restricts the blood flow to the stomach.Stapling of the stomach further restricts the blood flow and very serious complications could occour.Is it poosible that I can have the adjustable gastrict banding done? it seems to me that this method wouldn't restrict the blood flow to the stomach thus avoiding the complicatons that stapling would cause.    — RON K. This is a medical question only a dr can answer. Any answer from a non Dr would pretty much be a guess. My suggestion is find a surgeon who does vbg and ask them. Good luck
