Question:
Does any have bad smelly gas, bloating, burning in stomach?

Yes I have gas and bloating, but not burning. I take this product called Devrom. I hate to be so explicit, but when I first had my surgery the gas was awful, just awful. FOR ME, I think the protein shakes gave me gas as well. Also, because you are only eating protein at first, your breath is rank as well. The body is going into ketosis, which is a good thing. I can only tell you what happened to me, I do not give advice to others. Good luck

it goes with the territory. i,v tried 2phaseyms , 2 gas x maximum strengh and eating parsely[4mouthfuls] before vfw meetings . i was handed a list of things i shoudn't eat before meeting . thet were appalled when i said i hadn't eaten any of those items in 9 monthes. now i put fan next to butt to disperse th" gas". good luck hank

I had gas severely... it would empty a room. I had tried devrom (for the smell), gas X, beano... all to no avail. I was getting ready to go on a trip, had an appt with my surgeon, told him what was going on and that I would be sharing a room with 2 other ladies I probably did not know and most likely would NOT understand. He told me he thought I had a bit of bad bacteria growing in the part of my tummy that was cut off and reattached. He said this can happen. He put me on antibiotics... no more horrid gas. Bowels movements are still pretty rank (I know TMI), and I do have occasional gas (and that can be bad, too)... but NOTHING like it was. So my advice is to talk to your surgeon and see what he/she says.

YES I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND I'M ALSO LOOKING FOR A SOLUTION . I ASKED THE PHARMASITS ABOUT DEVROM I DON'T THINK YOU CAN GET IT IN CANADA . I SEE MY DOCTOR IN MICHIGAN IN SEPTEMBER I'LL ASK HIM THEN .

Welcome to the wonderful world of WLS. LOL We all are full of hot air so to speak. My handbook recomends taking zinc supplements to help with smelly stink bombs and rank BM's and dont forget the OUST! lol It is always a sad situation when the dog give you a dirty look (looks at you like what the heck crawled up in you and died?) as it is leaving the room! LOL
