Question:
I am 3 weeks out from a lap band surgery and have been asked to go on a day
where you are asked to pack a lunch this freaked me out any suggestion on what to pack. Thank you — Junebugray (posted on April 10, 2010)

You can pack whatever you are eating now. Soups can go in a thermos as can
protein drinks. If you are eating peanut butter at this time you can get
the single servings of that also. And of course, take your water water
water for the outing (not the meal of course).

I was pureeing things at that stage of my recovery. I had black bean and
split pea soup. I also had Greek yogurt. However, you need follow Dr's
diet. I wasn't that much 3 weeks out. To this day I also have two protein
shakes.

I find that a half cup of cottage cheese with one half canned or fresh
peach/pear is wonderful together and portable with a small ice pack.
