Since I have lost my weight, I am cold all the time, I live in Fl and I have
to wear a jacket every where I go and I go to bed at night with socks on.
One of the issues with weight loss. I rather be cold and skinny than heavy and hot! My
two cents!
Good luck!

I live in Maine, and I used to complain about being cold all the time...Maine is cold, but I was unnaturally cold even inside. It didn't hit me until
someone said..."you have less insulation than you used to." I
just bundle up and enjoy having less insulation! I find that layering
works better than one bulky item. Wear socks, slap on a turtle neck and
enjoy your weight loss! I am hoping that we will eventually become
accustomed to the cold.

I'm early on into my journey. I had surgery on March 3rd. I'm down 27 lbs
and three sizes and definately find myself chilly at times. I'm starting to
layer too.

Please have your thyroid levels checked. I have hypothyroidism (my thyroid
does not put out enough of the thyroid hormones) and I too was always cold (especially my feet). I take
medication now that gives me the extra hormone that my body no longer
produces, and this is better. People with this condition typically are
overweight, and have little energy. They often have a hard time losing
weight even though they do not eat much. The thyroid is one of the things
that helps regulate your body's metabolism. It regulates temperature, and
how much energy your body uses. Another thing I do is wear slippers when
my feet are cold. I even wear them
to bed. Socks cling too much and make my feet itch, and blankets do not
warm my feet. The slippers are loose enough to allow some air to get to my
skin, but tight enough to keep the heat near my feet. I find this helps
quite a bit. I hope this helps.

I had my surgery in Dec '09, and I stayed cold. I layer my clothing for the most
part. My doctor gave me iron to take and that helps a lot. But having let
to insulate is definitely true :-) So bare with it for awhile summer is
coming and I find myself peeling off the sweater and jackets quickly. It
will eventually get a little bit better.

My NUT says I have less fat now, so that may be it. Could also be iron
level is low. Anyway time to do blood work for me, two months and two weeks
out.

Getting cold is part of surgery Dr.
Forget to tell you. It does get some better as your body level out. So
don't be ashamed to wear a jacket or coat. There is nothing wrong with you.
