Question:
Should I worry about fluid leaking out of the band?

7 months post-op doing great. At my third fill the Dr. said not alot of fluid came out. He put 4.8 cc's in and said come back in a month. Should I worry?    — juneway20 (posted on May 15, 2009)

Sterile saline is used so it is absorbed normally by the body so the leak itself is not a concern. If there is a leak the band will have to be replaced to be effective.
