She is on this website and there are some comments about her and some
references for you to contact. It looks like she got listed under New
Orleans, LA rather than Dallas Tx in error. She might have just opened in
Dallas. There were a lot of professionals that moved after catrina. Go to
this link and check out trhe references.

You might have to cut and past it from here. Here is what a few Paitients
had to say:m I met with Dr. Kennedy today (1/29/08) and I absolutely adored
her! She made me feel totally at ease and comfortable. She was patient,
answered all of my questions and motivated me to say the very least. She is
very thorough and I found her easy to work with. So far so good! Also, Dr.
Kennedy is actually located in Dallas, TX... despite what the location
says. Here is her website: http://www.wlsdocs.com/ Posted on
01/31/2008-My first impression of Dr. Kennedy was this lady is crazy, but
in a good way, she was very upbeat and positive and very informative. My
impression never changed she has a very bubbly personality, and I don't,
that was always constant. Her office staff was very nice, but not as
friendly as she was but they got the job done and in the end that is all
that matters. Unfortunately she is relocated at the beginning of August but
if you can get in and get approved before then than go for it. My mom was
so impressed with her that she actually has scheduled surgery with her at
the end of June. Her aftercare is very conservative as far as the diet goes
she really makes you go through all the stages at the alotted times because
she wants to help your "pouch" heal as much as possible before...
[Click here for more] you try heavy foods. She did go over all the risks
with me before surgery but assured me she was going to be very careful. I
think personally surgical competence has the highest degree of importance
for me but a good bedside manner is important too. I would give Dr. Kennedy
a 10 she is a surgical genious as far as I am concerned! I would recommend
her to anyone!
Posted on 05/11/2007-She was very open, honst and down to earth. She was
compassionate, helpful and very supportive. I was very comfortable with Dr.
Kennedy immediately. Her staff is good but not as open, willing to talk to
me as she was. They were quick on the phone and not ready to give
information. She made me realize that aftercare is very important and
really a must to the help with the success of this tool. Yes the hospital
offers a monthly aftercare support group. She was open and honest about the
risk of surgery. I thought she was excellent, I look forward to her doing
my surgery after it is hopefully approved soon. Posted on 03/17/2007

your insurance company should be able to tell you any and all doctors in
your area that would be covered under your insurance. Have you tried going
through them?

My surgeon, Dr Wade Barker is in Dallas, I also have Aetna insurance and he
took mine. I know for a fact that he sees pts that have had surgery with
other Drs because he does their revisions. His # is 972-270-4800, call his
office and ask them. Good luck.

bill, thank you very much for the information it has calmed my nerves! i
will visit the website you provided, thanks again!
cj, i did contact the insurance company and their response was to look
under surgery for doctor's. (there is 179 doctors listed for surgery) i
was not aware that if some doctors did not perform your gastric bypass
surgery they will not see you. having an appointment with dr. kennedy has
made me believe that there are some doctors who will see patients even if
they did not perform the surgery...to me these doctors are the greatest
especially when you have no control over the insurance companies or your
doctor is not in contract with them!!!
debi, thank you for dr. barker information i will add his name to me list
to call!
**i want to thank you all again for responding, take care!!
