Question:
Pain under left breast stabbing into back
Has anyone else had a pain that stabs from under the left breast into your back, even hours after eating? — mommateresa (posted on November 27, 2007)

Even I've not had that feeling, I hear from people at support group
meetings of similar feelings as a reaction to some foods. Some people react
this way to chicken, or beef, or pasta, or bread--everybody reacts somewhat
differently. For instance, I get a really "heavy" feeling in my
stomach if I try to eat steak. Consequently, I (and most patients) opt to
eat ground beef--if you can eat beef at all.

I had a conversation with my nephrologist and she discribed these symptoms
as gallstones in the gall bladder. I would get it checked out if I were
you.

This is definitely a question for your physician to answer.

It sounds definately like gallstones. You need to see your Dr. They will
send you for an ultra sound. I had my Gall Blader removed 3 months after
giving birth to my son. The pain was horrible.

The others are right in checking out your gallbladder. But my surgeon told
me that is where my new pouch is, under my left breast. So I will get pain
there if my food is not reacting well. In fact, Saturday the pain was so
bad my husband had to take me to the emergency room. Turns out to have
been a pill went down wrong. Since I could still drink, they sent me home
and to wait, it took 2 days before the pain finally left. But at least it
wasn't a heart attack.
